Adventure has a new face – series 11 cinematic trailer

A fan-made trailer, an editing together of the first two Thirteenth Doctor trailers and a rather lovely rendition of the Doctor’s theme into a fabulously cinematic whole:

Are the eyes windows to the soul? No, they are in fact the doors. If you look into her eyes, even for a second, you’ll see wonders beyond imagining. The stars, the universe, an adventure waiting to be had, it’s all there… and she’s inviting you along.

Alternative Doctor Who themes

This ska version by the Melbourne Ska Orchestra is something cool.

And also the lightly swung jazz version, complete with (sonic) vibraphone solo. In honour of the Herts Jazz Festival 2016, the Youtuber GeorgeCMusic decided to upload this swing jazz arrangement of the Doctor Who theme he made a few years ago. It was created for a Doctor Who fan audio play currently stuck in development hell.

How about a few modulations for solo piano? This Doctor Who jazz cover was created by Bendy, he got the idea from comedian and musical genius Bill Bailey on his live show “The Remarkable Guide To The Orchestra”. And he just had to try it!

Every Doctor Who Story – Babelcolour’s 2018 update

Recommended in Doctor Who Magazine Issue 524 and by the BBC America blog, this is the 2018 update of Babelcolour’s Every Doctor Who Story tribute. The opening monologue in the fan-made video owes a huge debt of thanks to the generous contributions made by an amazing group of voice artists – Jon Culshaw, Jonathon Carley, Elliott Crossley, Stuart Grant, John Guilor, Wink Taylor, Christopher Thomson and Peter Walsh.

Lucky Thirteen

Mel Bontrager’s first piece of fan art love for our new 13th Doctor. He didn’t get quite as much of this recorded as he would have liked – side effect of working while sick.

Genesis of the Daleks trailer – Alien Covenant style

An exceptionally specific fan-made crossover trailer – “Genesis of the Daleks” in the style of Alien Covenant.

The fan loved the first trailer for Alien Covenant, he wanted to try and do something similar with a Docto Who story. The Dalek origin kind of matches the Prometheus idea a little.

Doctor Puppet – Twelfth Night

Almost one year ago the Twelfth Doctor played a Christmas duet with the stars. Peace, joy, and rock n’ roll.

Doctor Puppet is a Doctor Who fan series made by a team of professional artists. It’s a labor of love. The puppets and animation are created in a tiny New York City apartment. The music is produced and recorded in England.

The Future Needs Us – Concept for Doctor Who Series 10 Launch Trailer

Lucy Crewe is a Doctor Who fan and animator. She has spent a good deal of the year 2016 working on a cartoon trailer for Season 10. The result is really good, particularly the likenesses of both the Doctor and Bill:

Her animation skills and intuition improved vastly over the last months and she was able to free up her mind space, playing to her strengths to design a speculative campaign that will tie in with season 10 next spring.

On-location set visits and social events gave her that push to develop an idea into something special. Live action reference was used for most shots.

Peter Capaldi’s reaction to the video.

John Carpenter’s Doctor Who

What if John Carpenter did a Doctor Who Theme? One of GeorgeCMusic’s short run of YouTube music clips, something interesiting imagining what it would be like if the Doctor Who theme were arranged by some of the giants of electronic music. This would be as if John Carpenter had had a go at the iconic Who theme for one of his early ’80s horror movies, such as Halloween or The Fog.

Synths used were: Arturia Prophet VS, ARP Odyssey VSTi, LinnDrum samples, Amore Grand Piano, NI FM7. Also used was the Ferric Classic Tape simulator to give the mix a bit of a retro crunch.

Regenerate, a “Wide Awake” parody

How about a rewording of Katy Perry‘s “Wide Awake”, a video clip for that song from the perspective of a fan trying to get used to the Doctor’s various regenerations?

First you hate him, then he’s alright, then he’s your favorite and you love him and you want some more of him.
