You know that this was an adventure of a lifetime, right?
On the very last leg of the tour, the YouTube TARDIS materialises in Rio de Janeiro. As Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman admire the view from under the Christ the Redeemer statue, they reflect on their whirlwind tour of the world.
The #DWWorldTour may have ended, but on the last night of the world tour Peter Capaldi has a few words of thanks to share with the fans, wherever you are in the world.
The Doctor Who YouTube team might not have had a TARDIS, but they did have a nifty little drone camera, which came in very handy when Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman went for a photo shoot at the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro. The drone camera even managed to capture a Cyberman trying to upgrade unsuspecting tourists.
To celebrate the TARDIS touching down in Sydney, Australia, ABC and BBC Worldwide ran a unique competition to gave fans the chance to win tickets to the Australian fan event. They have already showed their love, so it wasn’t too hard: to do this they asked the fans to show how they #hearthearttheDoctor through video, art, photography, writing or however else they best felt expressed their feelings. The team was not disappointed… the result is the next video.
The winning entry was Edward Felix, but Crispy Pro impressed the UK Doctor Who team so much that we asked him to come along to the event to do some guest You Tubing.

Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman and Steven Moffats’s penultimate stop on their tour of the world takes them to Mexico City, where they had to deal with the Mexican wave and the largest ever screening of the new episode, Deep Breath, was held for 3,000 very noisy Whovians!
Peter and Jenna reflect on their journey so far and how hard they’re going to find it going back to “normal” life. They also talk about all the incredible fans they’ve met along the way, and some of them in Mexico City tell us why they love Doctor Who.
The next stop on the tour is Rio de Janeiro.
You must have remembered that the Doctor can’t land in New York anymore, not after that sad business with the Ponds. But a little temporal instability wasn’t going to stop Peter Capaldi, Steven Moffat and Jenna Coleman from meeting American Doctor Who fans!

The Doctor Who World Tour is officially underway and the Doctor Who Channel will be hitching a ride on the TARDIS all the way.
The first stop saw the red carpet rolled out for Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, Samuel Anderson, Steven Moffat and Brian Minchin for the World Premiere of Series 8 Episode 1 “Deep Breath.” The Cybermen and the Daleks were also on hand to keep excited fans in order.
The TARDIS then touched down on London’s Southbank where lucky fans got to see cast, crew and monsters before a very special screening.
