Vashta Nerada [Doctor Who Theme] is Traffic Experiment’s reworking of Ron Grainer and Delia Derbyshire’s classic Doctor Who theme, featuring the vocals of the very lovely Harri Norris and recorded with producer George Shilling (of Bernard Butler, Blur, Porcupine Tree fame) at his Bank Cottage studio. TE’s very good friend and videographer Rich Wakefield of FX Media filmed the recording and produced this video.

What about a little dancing, kids? 🙂 Here’s a rather good dubstep version of the Doctor Who theme performed on a laser harp by Steve Thompson. This video features a full size TARDIS, a Delorean (well, if you’re going to have one time machine, you might as well have two!), a sonic screw driver and of course, a laser harp! Other instruments include a classic synth from the 80’s, the Roland D50, a Yamaha CS1x and a Novation Launchpad S.

We’ve all watched John Barrowman playing the role of Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who series and Torchwood series… but it’s the first time I am hearing him singing and singing Doctor Who theme song. I don’t know the occasion, but it’s fun. 😀
