The kickstarter team is putting a TARDIS into Earth’s orbit

2013 is the 50th anniversary of DOCTOR WHO, and the kickstarter.com team is celebrating! They have built a TARDIS satellite, and they are putting it in orbit.

In order to do that they created a fund raiser project that was completed 2 days ago. The funding period:
May 30, 2013 – Jun 29, 2013 (30 days). There were 3,231 backers that raised $88,880 (pledged of $33,000 goal).

Update: The TARDIS is complete!

Yes, that’s right. We have built the TARDIS satellite. It’s finished! The 2013 launches are dedicated, and the manifests are filling up. Now we just need the money to put our satellite into the rocket. That’s where you come in.
