I must admit that the people involved in developing Doctor Who know how to keep people’s attention to a high level: the search for the new Doctor, the actor who’s going to replace Matt Smith, is over, and they are ready to reveal it to everybody interested.
They created the teaser trailer in order to present the following event: in a special one-off live television event on BBC One this Sunday 4th August at 7pm, the next Doctor will be exclusively revealed to the world.
Widely regarded as one of the most hotly contested roles in British television, the show’s host Zoe Ball will unveil the 12th Doctor in the first ever interview in front of a live studio audience set against the backdrop of a swirling vortex, amongst Daleks and the TARDIS.
The half hour show will include live special guests, Doctors old and new, as well as companions and celebrity fans.

The intense speculation about the identity of the new Doctor got higher and higher since Doctor Who announced his leave from the show, back in June. You don’t have to wait to much to find out, so keep your fingers crossed. 😀
