I’ve just found out about a petition created by fan club NY Sci Fi & Fantasy on Change.org to help mark the 50th anniversary stateside. It’s called Petition to light up the Empire State Building TARDIS blue on November 23rd to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who! and it wants to bring NYC to The Doctor to celebrate.
It’s the first time a science fiction show lasted 50 years, that’ a landmark occasion. The Doctor has visited New York City many times over the years and the fun club wants to celebrate this. They are attempting to partner with the Empire State Building (www.esbnyc.com) to light it Tardis blue for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary.
Their petition has so far collected more than 15,300 signatures from across the world. Their target is 25,000 names.
Are you interested to participate?
