Could Doctor Who create its own MCU?

It’s the first time I am hearing about the Doctor Who Cinematic Universe and the idea is good. Former showrunner Russell T Davies certainly thinks so, telling journalist Paul Kirkley that he could picture a world where Who had its own TV channel and many spin-offs.

Following comments from former series showrunner Russell T Davies to that effect Radio Times examined the potential future of a range of Doctor Who spin-offs. In this podcast they also examined how these spin-offs could compare to the TV universes of Star Wars, Marvel and DC and share some intriguing rumours about what could be next for the wider Whoniverse.
