I have to admit it: this episode is of the best ones in the latests few years of the show. Chris Chibnall could have bring a better contribution in the period he was a writer and a showrunner, but the combination of his story and Jamie Magnus Stone's directing was good. They could have done some things better but I don't want to complain (too much): I enjoyed the episode.
From Sheffield to the Cyber Wars, from the first days to the end, let's enjoy some highlights of the Thirteenth Doctor's friend Graham. As you know, he was impersonated by the actor Bradley Walsh.
It was an episode with action and betrayal, with victories and loses (the departure of good friends). I can't say it's a bad episode but I've watch better episodes.

I admit it: the story for this episode was different than expected but it's pretty good, considering. It explains a few things (who actually is Ruth, the unknown Doctor's face) and brings a new light to the moment when Matt Smith's Doctor got the extra regenerations.
Cybermen were once humans and they lost their feelings and emotions when they became cyborgs. Time Lords were once humans (and that became more clearer in this series) that were transformed during or after they passed through a temporal vortex.
There is mystery and horror, and that's good, and time travels because some Artificial Intelligence tries to survive in the past after losing a war. There is also some science, the one that built the Cybermen, and the favorite Time Lord. I enjoyed the episode because it succeeds in combining pretty good the the mentioned elements.
The episode is pretty good but I would prefer that these creatures to be more dark and frightening than they were - they didn't make much impression with their actions comparing with what they said they can do.
I almost liked this episode of Doctor Who. Why almost? Because it started very good, with a massive dose of mystery, but the quality dropped in the second part of the episode.
It's official: the season 12 of new Doctor Who is becoming interesting. The season started with a worse episode but in the fifth episode the captain Jack Harkness is back (for a brief time) and we had (for also a brief moment) two Doctors.
The planet is saved, again, even if the spider queen could be more credible, and the rivalry between Tesla and Edison continues even after they have fought together against a common enemy.

Orphan 55, the 55th planet that has been abandoned by the humans because, from different motifs such war or natural catastrophe, it became uninhabitable. There were left behind only the people too poor to afford the evacuation or too late to go with the ships.
Surprinsingly, the second part of Spyfall is better than the first. There were, still, some issues (like the shoes with embedded lasers) but the episode was not bad at all. More: it comes close to Doctor's style. Twice I could enjoy some of the effects of time travels and that's good.
If the season 12 of new Doctor Who continues in the same style as its first episode I will not be surprised that some people will make it lost on purpose because of bad writing and bad production.

Sometimes, to become witness of historical events and let the history unfold itself can be pretty hard. But not that hard as correcting the deviations (when the events are influenced by another temporal travel that wants the history changed) into a manner that makes the involved persons very familiar.
