Behind the scenes at Doctor Who and the Brain Drain

It’s a decade since Tim Treloar first put on Jon Pertwee’s jacket for The Third Doctor Adventures, and on 4th February 2025 his latest story, Doctor Who and the Brain Drain, was released. Taking over the role of an iconic character is a difficult task, but Tim Treloar has made it look easy with his acclaimed audio portrayal of the Third Doctor, as originally played on TV Doctor Who by the well known Jon Pertwee.

After a small role in 2013’s The Light at the End, Tim’s first full adventure as the velvet-clad Time Lord was in 2015’s The Third Doctor Adventures Volume 01. Across the decade since, he has starred in 16 volumes of The Third Doctor Adventures, and materialized across various other Doctor Who releases. Doctor Who and the Brain Drain was his latest box set two months ago. To mark ten years of his performance as the Third Doctor, Big Finish Production team asked some of his colleagues to reflect on Tim’s time in the TARDIS so far… and you can find something interesting in the video.
