Colin Baker reunited with his Doctor Who title sequence

That happened in the Soundhouse Studios, 18 June 2024 – as part of the Sixth Doctor’s 40th celebrations, Graham Kibble-White – co-author of the upcoming Adventures in Type and Space: The Sid Sutton Collection (published November, 2024 by Ten Acre Films*) – met up with Colin Baker. The encounter ended with a presentation of a very special print…

Sid Sutton was the designer who created the 1980s starfield title sequences for Tom Baker, Peter Davison and Colin Baker’s Doctors. And Graham has arrived with never-before-seen photography from Colin’s own sequence, and these have been unearthed by Sid’s family, and loaned to Graham for his publication.

Together, Colin Baker and Graham Kibble-White look through elements of the collection, which reveal not only Sid’s artistry and diligence in putting together the Sixth Doctor’s iconic show-opener, but take Colin back to his very first day on the job. You can watch the result in the following video.
