Lead Keeper Anne Morris tells us about five Humboldt penguins, born in spring, who have moved into a nursery pool at the zoo to learn some penguin basics. And just as school children learn their ABCs and 123s, the zoo’s youngsters are learning how to swim, hunt and feed in water.
The interesting thing is the penguins’ names are inspired from Doctor Who series, so names like Doctor, Dalek, Galifrey, Tardis and little Sonic are common at Chester Zoo… 😀
