If the previous few years I’ve commented every Doctor Who episode after its release, in the last few months (since the 2023 special episodes including the Christmas special episode in which the last two Doctors are appearing, David Tennant and Ncuti Gatwa, including their companions Catherine Tate and Millie Gibson anong others) I couldn’t do it because of a very full period (a combination between much work and technical problems, reason for postponing some good ideas). But what’s too much doesn’t always spoils everything and all – I haven’t write the comments for each episode but at least one is coming one for all episoded released – the special episoded and for the season 14 for the new Doctor Who).
I still don’t know why some people are insisting o tell it the first season but everyon has his or her preferences. I am thinking at this season being the 14th because I am taking into consideration the first season after the break for a few years and the first one I have watched, and other people are taking into consideration only the Disney transmissions for the lastest episodes. But all this time, the first Doctor Who episode has been released in the year 1963. shortly (2 days if I remember right) after JFK assasination.
Returning to the subject, the season 14, I can say that at least in some degree I liked it, and I still do. At least, it has some issues easy to be noticed by a person loving science-fiction. For example, you can’t produce some things only from memories no matter how wonderful is the TARDIS technology and how many stars a TARDIS has inside, and the story could have been written better without shortcuts like this one, but that does not mean I don’t like the show. One can’t argue the tastes and the memories that built the TARDIS can also build feelings in some fans just like the Sutekh being cloaked for at least 14 seasons and several hundrends landings then appearing has done. And he has appeared just because he did not understand something about Ruby’s mother.
But from time to time the Doctor Who show is more fiction than science (without clearing the last one out), with lots of special effects and some history… I kind o like all this subjects I can say I am still interested in the Doctor (as character not as actor). So I can add that I expect the episode that will appear on 2024 Christmas and we al already about the half period of time between the end of the 14th season andi that special episode. I can’t say I hardly expect it because I have work until then but it’s clear I’ll be watching it.
