Some people are not pleased by the last season, because of Chris Chibnall, because the Doctor being a woman (Jodie Whittaker), because of whatever. Each one have his or her own reasons.

I just want to know what you think about the future of Doctor Who show. Are you still watching? Do you think the show has some chances for the future? Please leave your opinion in the comments.

I’ve been watching since the last episode of the first, Stone Age, story in 1963. I dropped off from 1972, when I went to Uni then worked abroad. Love Doctor Who, I’ve enjoyed the flux but it was a bit too disjointed and it didn’t really follow up on the rimless Childs though teasing. This led to a series which was fun but at the end left a largely destroyed universe and a confusing dynamic between the Doctor and his companions.
For the near future I hope the specials repair this, solve the mysteries and satisfactorily develop Yaz. I loved having a female Doctor, when I started watching it wasn’t clear the Doctor was an alien, so changes in gender should not be a problem. Further into the future I see the Doctor continuing into the future, I have no doubt RTD will bring his fans and I expect some great new story arcs. As to the new Doctor, I believe RTD can be trusted with the choice. The involvement of Bad Wolf and hence Sony should be positive with new opportunities to stream Globally. They may tigger in maintaining viewing numbers but a global market of Who need like me should provide a satisfactory base line of viewers.
